Zettai Kareshi/Absolute Boyfriend Review
Title: Zettai Kareshi/Absolute Boyfriend
This is why I sometime prefer not to watch Romantic Comedy kind of movies. I am a movie lover, I do watch movie a lot, but the thing when I watch movies. Once I get attached to it, I never stop watching it until I get to finish.
This one over here got lucky that the movie even catches my attention from one a like movie posted on facebook.
I am so happy and amazed to what love is about to a robot's perspective, since they are emotionless and don't feel pain. Now, here's my review about the whole movie.
At first it was fun, everything is a fast phase and everything happens so quickly, At first I find it so funny that the girl was so shocked at receiving such handsome guy that she dream of having, at first she though it was just a joke but turns out to be a real thing.
The day goes by and pile of problems are chasing this girl named Izawa Riiko who happens to be the hopeless single girl that being chosen to be the girl who will going to test "Nightly 01" namely Tenjo Night after that, things were up and down, many problem went through and Night, don't let Riiko face it alone.
As I remember in the story, Night have to work five job to get the money Riiko needed before the first month end. She tried to do multiple job as well but end up being sick. Then after that, they went more downer than the usual because Night needs to take care of Riiko and find a job as well.
The time when The Chief or Asamoto Soshi get to notice Riiko for her talent, thing went upside down because as usual someone must destroy the perfect love story and be the third wheel in the story. Sad to tell that it was Soshi, At first I find it interesting being the boss to fall in love that easily to his staff but then again, as the story goes I see a natural guy falling in love with a girl who he find interested in.
There where a struggle, I hate it. Cos I hate it when I see the better man be bullied or out shine because of someone more powerful to him, well, How can he out shine Soshi if he is the chief of the company while Night is just a Janitor in the Company where Riiko is a temporary.
It's funny to make everything feel so fine when it wasn't, seeing Riiko happy with Soshi is satisfying but in the other side, I feel bad knowing that Night are being hurt seeing them be happy with each other yet it was suppose to be Night's job. Night were made to make Riiko happy because he is Riiko's Perfect boyfriend.
I love it when Night starts to learn to have his own will, making decision of his own and activating his own ego even though he suppose to have no ego as well as emotion. for him to access and learn how to use his emotion accurately is a big thing because by that he can understand Riiko more and to be not that naive whenever Riiko is hurt or what.
Promise. Forever. I Love you. Cute.
Those are the words you will often hear from Night, It was in his program but who cares? Who doesn't wanted to be complimented side by side by the person only created for you, to love you and be by your side no matter what. Even you're sad or happy, up or down, Night can do that to Riiko.
The last part and the most painful part for me is when Night decided to Scrap himself because loving Riiko is painful. Painful in a way where he will see Riiko die eventually and let go of his hand as he breathe her last breath.
For me, if I was the one in the scene where Riiko and Night were talking for the last time, I would hug night so much and I'm not gonna let go of him ever. Even do Night don't want to, I will tell him that without him is more painful for me, I know in the moment I was thinking about my own happiness but it will make us both happy. Maybe, sooner or later, Dr. Nakimiri can discover an upgrade where he can make Night more efficient to grow up and grow old. No one can tell.
It is such a lovely movie, It touched my heart in a very big perspective. I just feel hurt when the ending turns out like that. I'm sure there could be a better idea for an ending. Why not tried it than the movie ending.
